Well the chassis is now a rolling chassis, and has been taken to the Buhler Motorsports Headquarters to get a new body placed on the GRT.  The body will be black with an orange nose.

12-21-09

Well the car has been stripped down to a bare chassis and has also been sent out to be checked. During this time any cracked welds or any bent bars have be replaced and re-welded. From there the chassis was sent in to be painted. We chose to paint it Black!

9-27-09

Were back from a wild weekend at the Chilton Fall Invitational. We were supposed to run our heats on friday night and then run our features on saturday night.  But... Mother Nature had other ideas. Our heats and the rest of the friday night program was rained out and moved to saturday.  So here we go, in our heat we running sixth as we took the white flag and after the 1st and 2nd place cars took each other out in turn 3 we were able to get by safely and finish in 4th place.  Which transfered us directly into the A-Main.  It was the first time in my racing career that we made the A-Main through the heat when there was also a B-Main at the track. In the feature we finished in 18th place after breaking midway through the feature.

In the end we finished the WDLMA Season 47th in WDLMA Points. After missing a couple shows at Plymouth and only running a couple shows at Manitowoc.

9-12-09

Well saturday was the last night of the season at the Plymouth Dirt Track.  In are heat race we finished in 7th place after coming very close too flipping the car in turn 4 after hitting the berm hard.  Only damage to the car was a busted fan shroud.  So we got the shroud fixed and made it out for the B-Main. In the B-Main we battled Cody Welch for much of the race, and in the end it was us getting the upper hand and finishing in 5th place.

In the end we finished 24th in Plymouth Dirt Track points standings and 3rd in the Rookie of the year standings.

8-22-09

Well Saturday was probably are best run yet. Started 3rd out of 8 in the heat race, and came home in 5th. After Bob Cullen beat us out for the last transfer spot into the A-Main through the heat races we had to run the B-Main. We started on the pole of the B-Main and after 12 laps crossed the finish line in 2nd place. Our best finish this year. So we transfered to the A-main and started 17th. We ended up finishing 19th in the A-Main. Overall pretty fair night. Our next race will be Saturday at the Sheboygan County Fairgrounds if the weather holds out.

8-15-09

Well on friday we made the trek to Manitowoc where Matt Buckmann was in the driver seat again. There were 29 late models at Manty which meant 4 heats. We started outside the front row in heat #3. By the end of the heat we finished in 6th place, which placed us in the B-Main.  In the B-Main we started in 9th place, after many people dropping out and a red flag for the #79 of Jim Schmidt after he had flipped, we were able to cross the line in 12th place.

That takes us to Saturday night! There were 23 late models at Plymouth.  We started 4 in Heat #2 and finished in 8th place putting us in the B-Main.  In the B-Main we started 7th and passed 3 guys to finish in 4th place which transfered us to the A-Main.  In the feature we started in 20th and finished in 20th after having some parts fail on the car.

8-8-09

We drew an ok number for a starting spot in the heat race. Started 4th out of 7 cars. The past few weeks we have been way off on our heat race set-ups and just couldnt drive the car. It wasn't any different this week. Started 4th ended up 7th. The car worked a little better than the past weeks in the heat. But still not enough to be competitive.

We ended up starting 21st out of 21 cars in the feature. The track was very rough on the bottom side in 3 and 4 which caused me to lose ground in the first 4-5 laps. After this i moved to the high side and got the car hooking up very well. we ended up finishing 19th after only going 21 laps out of 25 due to rain under caution.

We will be running this Friday at Manitowoc and Saturday at Plymouth.

7-24-09 - 7-25-09

Well Friday night we made our first trip to the Manitowoc County Speedway.  Our teammate Matt Buckmann would drive our the tonight.  In the heat we finished in 8th place out of 10 late models.  As feature time came around we were starting 16th and as it turns out that is where we finished also.

Now Saturday night we were back at the Plymouth Dirt Track with Cody back in the drivers seat.  We finished 7th in Heat #3 and because there was 24 late models here tonight we were placed in the B-Main.  Now in the B-Main we finished in 7th place out of 8 cars.

Well we finally made it back to the track this past weekend. After many days and nights working on the car we were finally able to make it on to the track.

In the heat race we finished 8th.  The car was just pushing really bad and we just couldnt make any forward progress with the car. So we changed some stuff up for the B-Main.  It ended up working great as the car handled great in the B-Main.  We did end up finishing 6th in the B but kept up with 5th place the entire time.

Well we had one of worst nights of the season tonight! We ended up finishing 10th in the heat race after we slid sideways into the spinning #44 of Jim Lavey.  The contact resulted in a broken rear end and a bent center section of the chassis! We were unable to get the car fixed in time for the feature. So as of right now we are looking at our options for 2009!

Well we finished 9th in are heat this weekend but we were unable to start the A-Main due a failure of a couple parts including the birdcage!

Well we had an alright night! In are heat we finished 6th after smacking the front stretch wall with the right front. We damaged darn near everything we could on the right front. We were able to get it all fixed in time for the feature.  We ended the feature in 20th.

Well we had some minor issues on Opening night.  First happened in the heat where we were having issues in the fuel system.  We finished 7th in our heat. In the feature we realized we got to fix some more stuff.  We finished 20th in the feature.

Took the transmission to M & R Racing Equipment in Waldo, getting it rebuilt, will be done for the practice date Saturday 4/18/09.

The body is here! Will be fitted on the car by as early as Monday. Chad from AC Signs will be out early next week to put the design and number on the car.

The engine is now home. Matt recently finished rebuilding it.  Also are body is on its way.  So progress is being made. 

The 2009 Eickberg Racing plans are for Cody Eickberg to go for the 2009 Rookie of the Year title at Plymouth Dirt Track. 

Cody and Matt Buckmann are planning to make many trips up to EWSC (Manitowoc County Expo).  Where they will switch driving duties every once and a while.
