 Strong run by Hurricane Ike has heads turning

PLYMOUTH, WI - June 19, 2010 - After starting 9th in the heat race, Cody faught his way up to 7th place on a very sloppy track as he was the first race of the night. Ike lined up 11th in the feature but didn't stay there for long. The race went green and for the first 13 laps without a caution, Cody moved past the 8 car of Dan Dippel and the 57 car of Eric Michaels to be running in 9th. The race went to it's first yellow after a car spun out in turn 2.

As the race went green again, Eickberg and Dippel battled side by side very hard for many laps on a very rough track. With just a few laps to go the race went under caution for the second time as the 7B car of Tim Buhler and Eickberg got tangled up on the front stretch. Buhler pulled off calling it a night, and Cody was forced to start in the back. With only a few laps to go he was only able to move up to the 15th spot.

Eickberg finishes where he starts in 14th

 PLYMOUTH, WI - June 12, 2010 - Cody started the night out with a 5th place finished out of 8 in the heat race. This lined him up in the 14th starting spot in the feature. After many cautions Eickberg battled for several lap with the 5 car of Bret "The Jet" Seivert and the 79 car of Jim Schmidt. After a few more cautions, the race was called early with Cody finishing where he started.

Hurricane Ike fails to make A-main for just the second time this season

PLYMOUTH, WI - May 29, 2010 - After struggling in the heat race and finishing 7th out of 8. Cody was force to run the B-main and fight his way into the show. Ike was scheduled to start outside the frotn row, but after another questioned call by the officials, he had to start in the back. Eickberg made his way to 6th looking to dive into the top four to transfer. But after getting held up by a lap car, Cody failed to finish in a transfer spot. Sending him home early.

 Cody crosses shortened feature in 17th

PLYMOUTH, WI - May 22, 2010 - Due to several cautions, the feature wasn't able to go the full 25 laps. The race was shortened at lap 13. Cody finished 17th out of 20 in the feature, and 6th out of 8 in the heat race.

Hurricane Ike storms through the carnage to finish 15th

 PLYMOUTH, WI - May 15, 2010 - After a tough break in the season opener and a rain out the following week, Cody Eickberg made sure his second race of the season was going to be a strong one.

Hurricane Ike drew starting number eight which put him on the pole for the third and final heat race. Even though he was on the pole, he had very stiff competition around him. #74 Russ Scheffler starting second and #7B Tim Buhler starting in third behind Ike. Cody crossed the finish line in fifth place and advanced to the A-Main where he would line up fifteenth.

Cody finished where he started. After several early cautions, they made a run of about ten green flag laps. Cody, who dropped back early, fought his way back to the fifteenth spot and stayed there. After another late caution the race was called due to time restraints and Bret "The Jet" Seivert took home the checkered flag. Cody "Hurricane" Eickberg finished fifteenth after a very strong and solid showing. Diamond Jim teammate #D7 Turk Letizia had another strong run, he is currently sitting four points out of first place behind #15S Rick Scheffler. 

Cody Eickberg and his team will be in action again this Saturday May 22, at the Sheboygan County Fairgrounds in Plymouth, WI.

5/8/10 Cancelled

 PLYMOUTH, WI - May 8, 2010 - Due to cold temperatures and rain/snow during the week, the PDTR for tonight have been cancelled. Cody Eickberg and Eickberg racing will be back in action next Saturday, May 15 at the Sheboygan County Fairgrounds in Plymouth, WI.

Opening Night not as planned...

PLYMOUTH, WI - May 1, 2010 - Cody Eickberg made his 2010 season debut at the Sheboygan County Fairgrounds for the PDTR opener Saturday May 1.

Cody drew a fairly decent starting position, he started fourth in the third and final heat race. Early in the heat race the fuel pump belt snapped and he was forced to pull off.

After fixing the fuel pump, Hurricane Ike lined up in the fifth starting spot in the B-main looking to storm his way through the field to the A-main. Cody jumped on his competition early, as the first caution of the race came out, he was sitting in third spot. He restarted on the outside and dropped to fifth. After battling several laps with the #77 Brian Goetsch, Cody finally got passed him on the inside. With just a few laps left, Ike was sitting in the fourth and final transfer spot. The white flag flew and Cody was right behind third place car #95 Justin Danes. As they came out of four, the third place car was loose on the high side, Cody put his nose underneath him to attempt the pass. In the mean time, Cody and the the #95 made contact, sending the #95 into the infield. Hurricane Ike crossed the finish line in third place, but after a controversial call, Cody was penalized two spots for rough driving. Ending up fifth in the B-main and missing the transfer by one position.

The 34E GRT Dirt Late Model will be back in action next Saturday May 8, at the Sheboygan County Fairgrounds in Plymouth, WI.

Eickberg Racing readies for the 2010 Season

Plymouth, WI - February 10, 2010 -  Eickberg Racing is busy preparing their GRT Chassis for the 2010 season.  So far in the off season the old yellow chassis has been repainted black and the black body has been hung on the chassis.  This year we went with a black body, orange nose, and orange skirting.  Next on the off season list is getting the wrap on the car. This year we are going with Victory Sign LLC. located in Suamico, WI. Check out their website at www.victorysignllc.com. The graphics should be done in the next 2 weeks! We woud like to thank Plymouth Industries for painting the chassis for us and also we would like to thank Tim Buhler for making and installing the body for us.  Thank you guys very much!!
 
Our plans for 2010 are going to be running at the Plymouth Dirt Track on a weekly basis.  We may run shows occasionally at Manitowoc County Expo or the WDLMA shows at 141 Speedway also.
